HCL’s 24,000 employees from 15 countries along with HCL companies have together contributed $ 1.15 mln. (Rs.50 mln) for TSUNAMI relief.
A cheque for $ 0.9 mln (Rs.40 mln) was handed over to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh by HCL founder, Shiv Nadar. Also in the picture are HCL’s Ajai Chowdhry, Ms. Roshni Nadar and JV Ramamurthy.
HCL has also made a contribution to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Chennai of $ 0.23 mln (Rs.10 mln).
